Busted my tail tonight!!

I read a quote that said
"Train insane or remain the same." I love that. Tonight I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes of total body weights. I feel great!! I managed to do plank on my toes (normally I wimp out and do it on my knees), did lots of arms, legs, and core work. I'd like to start weight training on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Tomorrow is zumba and yoga, one if my most favorite days of the week! I love getting into the rhythms and feel so powerful and sexy when I've managed to keep up through 45 minutes of intense dancing.

Change of plans

I realized last night that I would never read a blog where all the person talked about was the calorie count in their food. I know I want to discuss my plans and goals, but I can't do that if I haven't spelled them out. So here goes.

Goals:
1. Lose 5 pounds in January. This will be accomplished by working out 5 days per week for at least 45 minutes each day and tracking my food on Spark People.
2. Meditate for 5 minutes each day, at a minimum.
3. Do something creative for 5 minutes each day. I have found a love for making jewelry, and it makes me deliciously happy to see what I can come up with. Time to increase my happiness!

What are your goals?

Time to recharge

I have been stuck with my weight loss. I have been floating around 297 for about a month. My lowest weight was 289, and that was before Thanksgiving. Rather than let myself get depressed, I am going to recharge. I have been reading and I love her enthusiasm. I love how excited she seems to be about her weight loss, but also I love how real she is. She's posted frustrations, goals, and experiences. I think that is what I need to start doing next. I need to be held accountable, and I think this blog is where that will start. For the next week, I'm going to post everything I've eaten, along with the calorie count, and my exercise plans each and every day. So here goes nothing.

Breakfast:
6" Buffalo chicken on white bread from Subway with lettuce, tomatos, cucumbers, lite mayo, ranch, provolone, and American cheese. (614)
Large sweet tea (230)
Calorie count: 844 calories

Lunch:
other half of my sandwich (614)
32 oz water (0)
Calorie count: 614

Dinner:

Exercise plans:
45 minutes of Piloxing (627)
55 minutes of Yoga (338)
Calories (according to ): 965

Active.com

Is stealing all my money lol. I swear that website is just about as addictive as Torrid or Lane Bryant.

Dress shopping

I have a wedding I'm going to on Saturday March 12. I knew I needed an outfit, plus the bridesmaid needed a bra, so I went shopping with her. I saw the most adorable dress in Lane Bryant and decided to try it on. They only had a 28 and a 20, but I've been about a 26 for the last few years. I brought both into the dressing room, convinced that neither would fit and I'd be out of luck. I put on the 28 and it was like wearing a tent. I put on the 20 and was amazed! I haven't fit into a 20 in ages! I believe the last time I wore a 20 was in high school about 5 years ago! Of course I bought the dress and I'm gonna wear it until it wears out. I can't wait to show it off on Saturday!!!

My bras are getting too big. Not sure if that's good or not. #whine

Haven't updated in a long time.

I stopped doing the P90X routines. I was enjoying them but kept finding other things to do at home. I got a great job that I love and it just happens to be right next to the YMCA, so I joined last week. I'm really glad I did. I can't drive home without passing the Y, I can't look out the windows without seeing the Y, and I love going in there. I get to be social, I get encouragement from the trainers as well as everyone else working out, plus it's just more fun to be around people. One of my favorite things to do is run on the elliptical and I love looking over and seeing the skinny girl next to me hasn't run half of what I have and is completely out of breath. Or racing the person next to me by glancing over and looking at their screen then upping my incline or speed to beat theirs.

I also decided to try a vegetarian diet for one week. I've really been enjoying it. I am more regular with my business and I have a lot more energy. I have to go to the grocery store more frequently so my food doesn't go bad, but it's worth it. I read in an article recently that if food can decompose, it's good for you--if it can't, don't put it in your body. I've cut out a lot of processed foods over the course of this year and I'm loving that. I don't feel tired after I eat, I feel energized.

Even if I don't manage to run my entire race in December, I'm definitely glad I've stuck with this New Year's Resolution. But not to worry, I'm going to finish that race.
